Hi, I'm Lawrence.
Medical student, 5** in all four DSE English papers, and the person behind Lawrence Or DSE.
My story
When I prepared for DSE English, I didn't spend my time on long books. I read exam-oriented material: the kinds of texts, questions and model answers the exam actually uses. Then I drilled exercises relentlessly, until spotting the marking points and structuring an answer became automatic. That's the approach behind every course here: learn one skill clearly, then drill it until it's a reflex.
Why I teach this way
As a medical student, I know what it's like to have more to learn than hours to learn it. So my lessons are short and focused on one skill each. I teach you to read your own writing like an examiner, and every framework has a name you can remember under exam pressure.
What I believe
- A title should clarify your stance, not show creativity.
- Good elaboration is a chain of logic, not longer sentences.
- Practise immediately, or you forget.
